Tuitition and Enrolment Fees
The Universität Stuttgart  is a public university with tuition fees. From summer 2007 state wide tuition fees will be introduced in Baden-Württemberg. The amount will be EUR 500 (minimum) per semester. This fee also has to be paid for non-consecutive international study programs like COMMAS. Besides the state-wide tuition fees, students have to pay a fee for the student services of EUR 110,- per semester (half a year). So the total amount is minimum EUR 610,- per semester (service/enrolment fee and tuition fee).
Living expenses
In general, students will need about EUR 600,- per month. This will cover the following:
  • Rent: EUR 220,- - 300,- (without meals) per month
  • Health Insurance: EUR 60,- per month
  • Semester Ticket for Public Transport: EUR 150,- for 6 months period
  • Food: approx. EUR 150,- per month
  • Other incidentals: approx. EUR 100,- per month
All these values are approximately only and might differ from case to case. The tuition and service and enrolment fees are not included here.
