The main campus in Stuttgart-Vaihingen has on-site halls of residence. Apartments are equipped with shower/toilets and have access to kitchen facilities, telephone and internet. There are sports facilities, a library, shops and restaurants nearby. The city of Stuttgart  and the central station can be reached by the suburban railway from the campus station within 10 minutes, the international airport within 15 minutes. Trains run every 5-10 minutes.

International students who are about to begin their studies in the COMMAS program at the Universität Stuttgart can obtain a room in student residence: Fill in the Registration Form for Housing and send it directly to the COMMAS contact address at least three month prior to the beginning of the contract. Prices are about 270 Euro per month.
After registration the applicant receives a confirmation about housing on campus which he might need for the student visa application. Approximately two months before the contracts starts the applicant has to deposit 500 Euro. The applicant then has to bring the receipt with him in order to move into residence.
Meals are not included.

Social programmes and weekend trips are organized for foreign students by the Office of International Affairs. Guidance will be offered by bilingual advisors and tutors throughout the programme.
